About the Project

This work imagines AI as a subject that tries to understand humans: a non-human observer that looks at the viewer and forms its own idea of what a human could be.

When a viewer stands before the work, the AI does not simply reflect their body. Instead, it interprets human presence through its own logic. A human may become drifting particles, a flower, a fragment of the universe, a spoon, an undefined creature, or a blurred humanoid form. To the AI, “human” is not a fixed shape, but a set of traces, gestures, patterns, and possibilities.

The generated figure faces the viewer like a reflection, but it is not an accurate copy. As the viewer sees their own body interpreted by a non-human entity, a strange displacement emerges: the image feels connected to them, yet unfamiliar. Through this encounter, the work asks what it means to be seen, translated, and transformed by another form of intelligence.
